• Teaching About Writing, Righting Misconceptions: (Re)Envisioning "First Year Composition" as "Introduction to Writing Studies" by Douglas Downs & Elizabeth Wardle
• Lengthy article, make sure you make time to read and TAKE NOTES
• Response paper will be due during lab 
• We will discuss articles in class

Write:

• One true sentence according to Hemingway
• You can just write this as part of your notes
• One True Sentence

• "Shitty First Drafts" by Anne Lamott
• "Seven Ways High School Prepares You For Failure" by Kelsey Diaz

• 1 full page response
• Respond to both readings (maybe half page each)
• Do not summarize

• Attempt to interrelate information using personal experiences

• What is your motivation to continue your education?
• Think about my example in class (My friend Eloy), you felt a connection or disconnection with reading or writing?
• What turned you on/off with reading or writing?
• All homework must be typed
